Why groomers don't shave a double coat
It's tempting to think shaving a fluffy dog will keep it cool in Singapore — but a double coat actually insulates against heat and protects the skin. Shaving it down can damage how the coat regrows and remove that protection. Good groomers de-shed instead: they remove the dead undercoat while leaving the coat's structure intact.
Regular de-shedding every four to six weeks keeps a double-coated dog far more comfortable in the humidity, and dramatically cuts the fur around your home.
