How it works

How getting matched with a groomer works

We connect, we do not groom. Here is exactly what happens after you send an enquiry, what we do with your details, and how we get paid.

  • Free for owners
  • No account needed
  • You choose, or don't

Two minutes, then it is out of your hands

The form takes about two minutes. After that, independent groomers quote you directly and you book with one of them, or with nobody. There is no account and no obligation.

The four steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    You describe your dog once

Three boxes: your name, your phone number, and one longer box for the dog and the job. About two minutes.

    About 2 minutes

  2. 2

We match on coat, location and delivery mode

Your enquiry goes to independent groomers who cover your town, handle that coat and offer the format you asked for.

    Same day

  3. 3

    Groomers quote you directly

The price comes from them, not from us. Expect one or two replies rather than a switchboard of calls.

    Usually within a working day

  4. 4

You book with one, or with none

Enquiring is not booking. You pay the groomer, never us, and you can walk away at any point without saying why.

    Entirely your call

What this site is, and what it is not

A dog groomer matching service takes one description of your dog and your location, passes it to independent groomers who cover that area, and lets them quote you directly. The owner pays nothing and the groomer pays a fee for the enquiry.

We are not a salon. We employ no groomers, hold no premises and groom no dogs. We are a connector rather than a provider, with no storefront and no Google Business Profile, because there is nothing to put an address on. We do not set prices: the groomer sets the price and you pay them.

How getting matched works, in one line: free groomer matching turns one form several groomers see into two or three quotes, instead of five phone calls. You tell us about your dog once and you are matched with local groomers who actually handle that coat in your town. If you came from a search for how to choose dog groomer singapore rather than for a quote, the how to choose a dog groomer singapore checklist you want is the guide linked further down, not this page. A dog grooming enquiry singapore wide reaches the same set of independent businesses either way.

It costs you nothing

Owners pay nothing, ever: no fee to enquire, no booking fee, no commission. The site is funded on the groomer side of the introduction, and that does not change the price you are quoted, because the groomer sets their own price and we never see it. You settle it with them directly.

Who is behind this

This site is run by a Singapore dog owner who runs a puppy business and grooms their own small breeds: bathing, drying, nail trimming, tidying and settling nervous young dogs. That is hands on dog handling experience, and it is real.

It is also not commercial grooming experience. No grooming service has ever been provided to a paying customer by anyone here, and nothing on this site should be read as though it had been. What that background qualifies us to write about is coat behaviour in this climate, how a young dog learns to tolerate handling, and what the Singapore pet market actually looks like. What it does not qualify us to do is judge a groomer's work from the outside, and we do not pretend otherwise.

There is no named author or photograph on this page yet, and that is a genuine gap rather than a stylistic choice. more about who runs this carries what there is. We would rather leave it thin than invent a team.

Step one: you describe your dog once

The form is three boxes. Your name, your phone number, and one longer box asking for the breed and size, the service you want, your area or postal code, whether you want mobile or studio, and a preferred date. No account, no password, no app, and nothing to install.

Each of those five things changes the match. Breed and size decide who is equipped for the dog. The service decides who offers it, because de-shedding and de-matting are not on every menu. Your area decides who covers you. Mobile or studio splits the list in half. The date decides who is free.

The one detail that most improves the quote you get back is coat condition, stated honestly. A groomer quoting for a well brushed coat and meeting a matted one has to change the price at the counter, which is where nearly every bad grooming experience in this market begins. Say the coat is matted if it is matted. It changes who suits, not whether anyone will take you.

Step two: how we decide who to send it to

How the matching works is a filter rather than a ranking. Four criteria decide what we check before matching, in this order, and the six services we match against is the list a groomer has to actually offer before they see your enquiry.

What we do not check is worth the same amount of space. We do not inspect premises, we do not verify insurance and we do not supervise appointments. Those are the limits of a matching service and they do not shrink because a site is confident.

  • Whether they cover your town, or will travel to it
  • Whether they handle your dog's coat type and size
  • Whether they offer the delivery mode you asked for
  • Whether they take dogs of your dog's age, which matters for puppies

Step three: the groomer quotes you directly

The price comes from the groomer and not from us. We publish published price bands by service so you can tell whether a quote is normal, and that is the extent of our involvement in what you are charged.

A good reply contains three things: what the price includes item by item, how long the dog will be there, and what would change the price on the day. A reply that is only a number is not wrong, but it is worth one follow-up question before you book anything.

Expect one or two replies rather than a flood. If a quote comes back above the published band, the usual reason is coat condition, and the usual fix is asking what specifically pushed it up.

Step four: you book, or you walk away

Enquiring is not booking. There is no obligation at any point, no deposit, and nothing to cancel. There is no pressure to book, you can walk away at any point, and if none of the replies suit you, ignore the quotes and nothing further happens.

Booking directly with the groomer is how it ends: you agree the date with them, and you pay them rather than us. There is no booking fee and no commission. Changing your mind after enquiring costs nothing. If you want the messages to stop, reply to any one of them with a stop contact request, or ask us to delete my enquiry and we will.

How long each step takes

What happens after you enquire, with times against it. One caveat worth stating plainly: this is a cold start business, a new site with no reviews, and no groomers have signed as lead buyers yet, so step three is a target rather than a track record until the first ones do.

What we do with your details

Your details go to the groomers matched to your enquiry, and to nobody else. They are never sold, and never passed to unrelated businesses. The consent box on the form says exactly this: that your details can be shared with matched Singapore dog groomers so they can contact you with a quote.

PDPA Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Act, is the framework, and the Personal Data Protection Commission sets the rules. You can withdraw consent at any time, and you can ask for removal by replying to any message from us. our privacy policy in full sets out the data retention period and where the data is stored.

Who sees your phone number: the matched groomers, so they can call or message you with a quote. Not an advertising network, not a data broker, not a list. There is no data sale of any kind and no unrelated third parties see anything. Your postal code is used to work out who covers you, and for nothing else.

What using this costs you

Nothing. Matching is free for owners, there is no account to create, no booking fee and no commission on what you pay the groomer. The site is funded on the groomer side of the introduction.

Whatever we are paid does not change the price you are quoted, because the groomer sets that independently and we never see it. You agree the figure with them directly.

What that does not buy anybody: a paid top-ten list presented as a recommendation, a comparison table where the ranking is bought, or reviews written by us. We do none of those, and there is no premium tier that changes who you hear from.

What we never do

These are commitments rather than marketing, so they are written flat.

  • No fabricated reviews: we have no testimonials yet and will not write our own
  • We do not claim to have groomed any dog
  • No paid top ten list, and we do not sell ranking positions
  • We do not use countdowns, fake scarcity or invented demand
  • We do not say our groomers, because they are not ours
  • We do not invent client counts, years in business or credentials
  • No cold calling: only the groomers matched to your enquiry contact you

Choosing well is still your job

Matching narrows the list. It does not judge the work, and choosing a dog groomer is still yours to do. Four checks worth making, and the full checklist for judging a groomer carries the rest, including the red flags dog grooming lists usually miss and the questions to ask a dog groomer before you commit.

How to pick a dog groomer comes down to handling rather than price, and handling is the one thing no website can show you. Dryer safety is worth one specific question: no cage dryers, and supervised drying throughout, is the answer you want.

  • Look at the clean grooming area and the visible grooming stations, not the reception
  • Ask what happens if extra work is needed mid-groom
  • Ask how they handle nervous dogs, and what happens if one will not settle
  • Ask to see the salon, and watch the groomer work if they let you

A matched enquiry, in one picture

Two minutes of typing, and then it is somebody else's turn. It is free for owners at every stage, and nothing is booked until you say so.

When this helps, and when it does not

A matching service is genuinely useful in some situations and pointless in others. It is worth being specific about which.

Where matching earns its place
Your situationDoes this help?Why
New to grooming, no shortlistYes, most of allOne description instead of five phone calls
Town with few studiosYesIt surfaces the mobile options you would not find
Nervous, senior or matted dogYesMatching on handling rather than proximity
You already have a groomer you trustNoStay with them. Continuity is worth more than a quote
Emergency, injury or skin problemNoA vet, not a groomer, and not a form

Who this is not for

If you want a single fixed price today, this is the wrong service and there is no version of it that will not disappoint you. We do not set prices and cannot quote one, and any site that gives you a firm figure for a dog it has not seen is guessing.

If you would rather phone three salons yourself, that works perfectly well and costs you an afternoon. And if you do not want your number passed to anyone at all, do not use the form: read the price bands and the guides, and call somebody directly. Everything informational on this site is free to read with nothing submitted.

What to ask the groomer who replies

Four questions turn a quote into a decision. They take a minute on the phone and they remove almost every source of surprise in this market.

  • What does that price include, item by item?
  • What would push it higher, and will you call me first?
  • How long will my dog be with you?
  • Can I see where the dogs are dried?
  • What do you do if my dog will not settle?

What we cannot protect you from

We do not supervise appointments, we do not inspect premises, and we cannot verify a groomer's insurance or qualifications. Anyone claiming to do all three for every business on a list is describing an operation that does not exist at this scale. observing how dogs are handled yourself remains the strongest check available to you.

If a groom goes badly, raise it with the groomer first, because most problems are fixable and most groomers would rather fix them. Then tell us. We are new enough that there is no formal complaints process to point you at, and pretending otherwise would be the kind of thing this page exists to avoid. What we will do is stop sending enquiries to a groomer who is reported, and say so.

Licensing, and what can actually be verified in Singapore

NParks AVS pet licensing covers licensing for pets and for pet businesses including retail, boarding, breeding and import. Grooming-only premises do not appear on the published list of licensable pet businesses, and whether such a business needs its own licence is not confirmed in public AVS guidance. That is a statement about what is published, not a conclusion either way.

Private grooming qualifications exist and some Singapore groomers hold them. No national groomer licence has been identified, so a certificate is a qualification rather than a permission. Groomer insurance is not required by anybody, which is why asking about it is worth more than looking for a badge.

What we can verify is short: that a groomer covers your town, offers the service and takes your size of dog. What we cannot verify is longer: qualifications, insurance, and how anybody behaves once the door closes. So the verifiable things are the ones you can see: the premises, the handling, the answers to direct questions. That is a smaller set than most owners expect, and saying so is more useful than implying we have checked something we have not.

Where the information on this site comes from

Prices are synthesised from published Singapore rate cards and carry a visible last-checked date on the price guide. Regulatory facts are cited to NParks AVS directly rather than paraphrased from another blog, including AVS licence fees, because second-hand regulatory summaries in this market are frequently out of date.

Coat and climate guidance comes from hands-on handling of the operator's own small breeds and is labelled as such wherever it appears, in a practitioner's note. It is not veterinary advice and it is not salon experience.

What is not yet evidenced is marked rather than filled in. There are no testimonials on this site, no before-and-after photographs of customers' dogs, and no dogs-served count, because none of those things exist yet. When they do, they will appear with consent recorded and the dog, town and service named.

Read before you enquire

Three guides that will make the enquiry better if you read them first: the full guide to choosing a groomer, how often a groom is actually due in this climate, and weighing mobile against a studio. None of them asks you for anything.

Groomers across Singapore

Coverage is island wide and there is no storefront, no Google Business Profile and no address, because there is no salon to put one on. towns across the island lists every town with what is specific about grooming there, and groomers who travel to your block covers the mobile side.

Demand is heaviest in the large heartland towns. Mobile groomers cross town boundaries freely, so being in a town with few studios is less of a constraint than it looks.

When you are ready, request a grooming quote and you will get matched with a groomer who covers your block. It takes about two minutes to connect with a dog groomer this way, and there is nothing to pay to try it.

Questions about how this works

Is it really free for me?

Yes. Owners pay nothing at any point: no fee to enquire, no booking fee, no commission. The site is funded on the groomer side, and that does not change the price you are quoted, because the groomer sets it independently and we never see it.

Who gets my phone number when I enquire?

The independent groomers matched to your enquiry, so they can quote you. Nobody else. Your details are never sold and never passed to unrelated businesses, and you can ask for them to be deleted at any time by replying to any message from us.

How many groomers will contact me?

Usually one or two rather than a switchboard of calls. The point of matching is a short list of groomers who actually fit, not the largest possible number of people ringing you. If nobody replies, tell us, because that says something useful about coverage in your town.

What if I do not like any of the quotes?

Ignore them. Enquiring is not booking, there is no deposit and nothing to cancel. If you want the messages to stop, reply to one and say so, or ask us to remove the enquiry entirely. Nothing further happens either way.

How do you know if a dog groomer is good?

Look at the grooming area rather than the reception, ask what happens if extra work is needed mid-groom, ask how they handle a dog that will not settle, and ask whether you can watch. The answer to the last one tells you the most. SPCA Singapore publishes a fuller checklist worth reading.

Is there any catch to it being free?

No. Owners are never charged; the site is funded on the groomer side of the introduction. We do not sell ranking positions, run paid top-ten lists or take a commission on the grooming itself, and nothing you are quoted changes because of us.

Do I book through you or with the groomer?

With the groomer, always. We pass on your enquiry and step out of it. You agree the price, the date and everything else with them directly, and you pay them rather than us. We take no payment from owners at any stage.

How do I have my details removed?

Reply to any message from us and ask, or use the contact form and say so. We will delete the enquiry and stop passing it on. You can withdraw consent at any time, and the privacy policy sets out how long details are kept in the meantime.

Tell us about your dog

Two minutes, then it is out of your hands. Free and non-binding, and you choose one groomer, or nobody at all.
