We match Singapore dog owners with local groomers. We are not a salon, we are not a directory
that sells top placement, and we do not groom dogs. Here is exactly how it works and how we
are paid — including the parts most sites in this space leave out.
We are a small operation, not a salon — this page explains exactly what that means.
What we are
doggrooming.sg is an independent matching service for dog grooming in Singapore. You tell us
your dog's size, coat and where you live; we pass that to groomers who genuinely cover it; they
quote you directly. It is free to you, there is no obligation, and you are not booking anything
by sending a request.
What we are not
We are not a grooming salon.Nobody here will handle your dog. Every groom is done by an independent Singapore groomer.
We are not a ranked 'best groomers' list.We do not publish league tables and we do not sell placement. Most grooming listicles in this market are written by a business that ranks itself first — check the domain next time you read one.
We are not free to run.Owners are never charged for it; the site is funded on the groomer side of the introduction. You pay the groomer directly for the groom, and nothing on top.
We are not a review site.We have no testimonials yet because the service is new, and we are not going to manufacture them.
Where our information comes from
The experience behind the grooming guidance on this site is hands-on small-breed dog handling
in Singapore — bathing, drying, nail work, and settling young and nervous dogs — plus close
familiarity with how coats behave in this climate. That is genuine, and it is also limited:
it is not commercial salon experience, and we do not present it as such.
So everything else is sourced rather than asserted. Price ranges come from published
Singapore rate cards checked against live search data and are dated on the page. Licensing
and ownership rules come from NParks and the Animal & Veterinary Service, cited on the
dog licensing guide,
not from memory. Where a topic needs first-hand salon experience we do not have, we say what
is known and leave the rest alone.
How we handle your details
Your request goes only to matched groomers, so they can quote you — that is what the consent
checkbox on the form covers. Nothing is sold on, and nothing is used for unrelated marketing.
Full detail is in the privacy policy,
written against Singapore's PDPA. If you want to see the mechanics of a match before sending
anything, read how matching works.
Questions about us
Are you a dog grooming salon?
No. We are a matching service. We do not own a salon, we do not employ groomers, and nobody here will be grooming your dog. What we do is take your request and pass it to independent Singapore groomers who cover your area and handle your dog's size and coat.
Is it really free for me?
Yes. You never pay us anything, there is no booking fee, and we do not take a cut of what you pay the groomer. The site is funded on the groomer side of the introduction, and that does not change the price you are quoted.
Do you rank groomers or take payment for placement?
We do not publish a ranked 'best groomers' list, and we do not sell top placement. Most Singapore grooming listicles you will find are either written by a groomer who ranks themselves first, or are affiliate placements. We would rather match on coat type, dog size and your actual location than publish a league table we cannot defend.
Where do your price figures come from?
Published rate cards from Singapore grooming businesses, checked against live search data. Every price range on this site is a market benchmark, not a quote — the groomer you are matched with gives you the actual figure once they know your dog. We date-stamp the pages so you can see how current the benchmark is.
Do you have customer reviews or testimonials?
Not yet, and we are not going to invent any. This is a new service. When we have real owner feedback with consent to publish it, it will appear here with a date attached. Any grooming site showing testimonials it cannot attribute is worth a second look.
Who writes the guides?
They are written and fact-checked in-house, grounded in hands-on small-breed dog handling in Singapore's climate plus cited sources for anything regulatory — dog licensing rules come from NParks/AVS, not from memory. Where we do not have first-hand experience of something, we say so rather than dressing up general advice as expertise.
